Tom Szabo

Biography

Tom and Deb have two children and have lived in Newburyport for 28 years. Tom is a professor of biomedical engineering in Boston with a background in engineering and physics. He enjoys hanging out with his family, doing yoga, inventing, and traveling to and photographing sacred places. He has been involved in Odonata since its beginning.

Given the typical fragmented compartmentalized living styles and separate inefficient houses of today, the appeal of Odonata is in developing not only zero-energy homes ( a neat technological feat!) but also in creating a village of people who live together harmoniously, sharing life and giving back to the earth and surrounding communities.
