Bruce Davidson and Linda Reimer Bruce Davidson and Linda Reimer are co-founders of Sirius Community, an ecovillage and educational center in Shutesbury, Massachusetts. Sirius models sustainable living through organic gardening, off-grid “green” energy systems, composting waste management, passive solar architecture, and a less consumptive life orientation. Sirius also runs a thriving non-profit educational center with Wellness Retreats, daily community meditations, a Spiritual Living Apprenticeship Program and Community Experience Weekends. Sirius members come to agreements through consensus and are committed to practicing conflict resolution skills and keeping integrity with their word.
John Clausen and Frances Edwards John Clausen and Frances Edwards are long-time members of the Findhorn Foundation, an intentional community in Scotland formed in the early 1960′s, and also maintain a home-base in the States. John and Frances helped to launch the Odonata initiative with an inspiring slide show of Findhorn, now a diverse community of several hundred people which has developed an internationally attended educational center, world-renowned gardens, a Waldorf School, an ecovillage project and dozens of holistic businesses. John and Frances also represent Findhorn at the United Nations as a commitment to raising public awareness on the activities and achievements of the UN related to sustainability, environment, peace, shelter and a new world order.
Jacalyn Bennett Jacalyn Bennett founded Jacalyn E. S. Bennett And Company in 1989 and successfully built a corporation that embraces social consciousness, ecology and human rights. Jacalyn is a benevolent philanthropist who, throughout the years, has supported charities around the world, including orphanages and schools. Her work with peace organizations, such as Sarvodaya in Sri Lanka, includes the development of an ecovillage following the tsunami of 2004. Jacalyn is the founder of Insight Meditation Center of Newburyport and was instrumental in founding Cambridge Insight Meditation Center. She is a local patron of the arts and faithfully supports centers working to address domestic violence and the protection of children.
