Welcome to Odonata Ecovillage

We are a multi-generational group of individuals and families with common values, dedicated to building a sustainable intentional community in our region (Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine).

Odonata Village LLC is a developing community working to create a neighborhood of clustered ecological homes, holding a small footprint to become stewards of the land we keep free around us.

Like other ecovillages around the globe, we integrate a supportive social environment with a low-impact way of life: ecological architecture, renewable energy systems, inclusive decision-making processes and local, organic food production.

What is an Ecovillage?

Urban or rural communities of people who integrate a supportive social environment with a low-impact way of life.

Built on various combinations of three principles — social/community, ecological and cultural/spiritual — more than 15,000 ecovillages exist today around the globe. To support the mission of sustainable lifestyles, elements of ecovillages include organic food production, ecological architecture, renewable energy systems, cooperative social economies, inclusive decision-making processes, holistic and whole person education and activities.

We are looking for new members to join the 15 exploring member households who now comprise the Odonata Community. We are already getting to know our future neighbors — planning our ecovillage and making decisions together, having potlucks and learning new skills about being in community.
